TMB Susbtrate is a ready-to-use reagent for use in ELISA. It reacts with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to produce a blue colour with absorbance maxima at 370 nm and 652 nm. The reaction can be terminated by adding acidic stop solution (sulphuric or phosphoric acid), which produces a stable yellow reaction product with absorbance maxima at 450 nm.
