SUMOylation of RanGAP1 regulates its cellular localisation through modification of its C-terminal domain and plays a critical in controlingl RAN-dependent transport between the nucleus and cytoplasm. The RanGAP1 enzyme acts as a very good control substrate for use in SUMOylation assays producing a product with a single SUMO modification.
Recombinant protein consisting of residues 418-587 of human RanGAP1 expressed with a N-terminal GST tag.
