ARAF is a tyrosine kinase-like kinase of the Raf family. It is involved in the transduction of mitogenic signals from the cell membrane receptors via Ras and MEK1/2 to the nucleus. It has been implicated in playing a role in the postsynaptic responses of hippocampal neuron. It is inhibited by Nexavar/Sorafenib (IC50>50 nM).
