Localized to the nucleus, ZBTB26 contains a BTB domain, also known as a POZ domain, which inhibits DNA binding and mediates homotypic and heterotypic dimerization. Characteristics of the BTB domain suggest that ZBTB26 functions as a transcription regulator.
