背景资料: Temporally regulated transcription and translation ofnseveral testis-specific genes is required to initiate the series ofnmolecular and morphological changes in the male germ cell lineagennecessary for the formation of mature spermatozoa. This gene is anmember of the SPANX family of cancer/testis-associated genes, whichnare located in a cluster on chromosome X. The SPANX genes encodendifferentially expressed testis-specific proteins that localize tonvarious subcellular compartments. This particular gene maps tonchromosome X in a head-to-tail orientation with SPANX family membernB1 and appears to be a duplication of that locus. The SPANXB genesnare unique members of this gene family, since they contain annadditional 18 nt in their coding region compared to the majority ofnfamily members. Although the protein encoded by this gene containsnconsensus nuclear localization signals, the major site fornsubcellular localization of expressed protein is in the cytoplasmicndroplets of ejaculated spermatozoa. This protein provides anbiochemical marker for studying the unique structures innspermatazoa, while attempting to further define its role innspermatogenesis.

免疫原: This SPNXB antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 17-47 amino acids from the Central region of human SPNXB.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
