背景资料: The binding of Ca(2+) to the trimeric troponin complexninitiates the process of muscle contraction. Increased Ca(2+)nconcentrations produce a conformational change in the troponinncomplex that is transmitted to tropomyosin dimers situated alongnactin filaments. The altered conformation permits increasedninteraction between a myosin head and an actin filament which,nultimately, produces a muscle contraction. The troponin complex hasnprotein subunits C, I, and T. Subunit C binds Ca(2+) and subunit Inbinds to actin and inhibits actin-myosin interaction. Subunit Tnbinds the troponin complex to the tropomyosin complex and is alsonrequired for Ca(2+)-mediated activation of actomyosin ATPasenactivity. There are 3 different troponin T genes that encodentissue-specific isoforms of subunit T for fast skeletal-, slownskeletal-, and cardiac-muscle. This gene encodes fast skeletalntroponin T protein; also known as troponin T type 3. Alternativensplicing results in multiple transcript variants encodingnadditional distinct troponin T type 3 isoforms. A developmentallynregulated switch between fetal/neonatal and adult troponin T type 3nisoforms occurs. Additional splice variants have been described butntheir biological validity has not been established. Mutations innthis gene may cause distal arthrogryposis multiplex congenita typen2B (DA2B).

免疫原: This TNNT3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 217-245 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human TNNT3.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
