背景资料: This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein familynwhich is characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, thenF-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits ofnubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box),nwhich function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. ThenF-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40ndomains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containingneither different protein-protein interaction modules or nonrecognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs tonthe Fbxs class. It can function as an arginine methyltransferasenthat symmetrically dimethylates arginine residues, and it acts asnan adaptor protein to mediate the neddylation of p53, which leadsnto the suppression of p53 function. This gene is known to bendown-regulated in melanocytes from patients with vitiligo, a skinndisorder that results in depigmentation. Polymorphisms in this genenare associated with chronic otitis media with effusion andnrecurrent otitis media (COME/ROM), a hearing loss disorder, and thenknockout of the homologous mouse gene results in the deaf mousenmutant Jeff (Jf), a single gene model of otitis media.nAlternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinctnisoforms have been identified for this gene.

免疫原: This FBXO11 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 55-83 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human FBXO11.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
