背景资料: Crystallins are separated into two classes:ntaxon-specific, or enzyme, and ubiquitous. The latter classnconstitutes the major proteins of vertebrate eye lens and maintainsnthe transparency and refractive index of the lens. Since lensncentral fiber cells lose their nuclei during development, thesencrystallins are made and then retained throughout life, making themnextremely stable proteins. Mammalian lens crystallins are dividedninto alpha, beta, and gamma families; beta and gamma crystallinsnare also considered as a superfamily. Alpha and beta families arenfurther divided into acidic and basic groups. Seven protein regionsnexist in crystallins: four homologous motifs, a connecting peptide,nand N- and C-terminal extensions. Gamma-crystallins are anhomogeneous group of highly symmetrical, monomeric proteinsntypically lacking connecting peptides and terminal extensions. Theynare differentially regulated after early development. Fourngamma-crystallin genes (gamma-A through gamma-D) and threenpseudogenes (gamma-E, gamma-F, gamma-G) are tandemly organized in angenomic segment as a gene cluster. Whether due to aging ornmutations in specific genes, gamma-crystallins have been involvednin cataract formation.

免疫原: This CRYGB antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 68-97 amino acids from the Central region of human CRYGB.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
