背景资料: This gene encodes a member of the paired box (PAX) familynof transcription factors. The central feature of this gene familynis a novel, highly conserved DNA-binding motif, known as the pairednbox. PAX proteins are important regulators in early development,nand alterations in the expression of their genes are thought toncontribute to neoplastic transformation. This gene encodes thenB-cell lineage specific activator protein that is expressed atnearly, but not late stages of B-cell differentiation. Itsnexpression has also been detected in developing CNS and testis andnso the encoded protein may also play a role in neural developmentnand spermatogenesis. This gene is located at 9p13, which isninvolved in t(9;14)(p13;q32) translocations recurring in smallnlymphocytic lymphomas of the plasmacytoid subtype, and in derivednlarge-cell lymphomas. This translocation brings the potent E-munenhancer of the IgH gene into close proximity of the PAX5 promoter,nsuggesting that the deregulation of transcription of this genencontributes to the pathogenesis of these lymphomas. Alternativelynspliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have beenndescribed but their biological validity has not been determined.

免疫原: This PAX5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 178-207 amino acids from the Central region of human PAX5.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
