The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembranenprotein that interacts with the beta subunit of Na,K-ATPasen(ATP1B1). A chromosomal translocation involving this gene is ancause of lymphoma. At least two transcript variants encodingndifferent isoforms have been found for this gene.
