KCNK7 is a member of the superfamily of potassiumnchannel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains. The productnof this gene has not been shown to be a functional channel;nhowever, it may require other non-pore-forming proteins fornactivity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoformsnhave been found for this gene.
