The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger proteinncontaining a KRAB domain. Studies in mouse suggest that thisnprotein may function as a transcriptional repressor. Mutations innthis gene have been associated with transient neonatal diabetesnmellitus type 1 (TNDM1).
