The TCF3 gene, also called E2A, encodes 2 basicnhelix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors, E12 and E47, throughnalternative splicing. E12 and E47 are involved in regulation ofnimmunoglobulin gene expression (Bain et al., 1994 [PubMedn8001125]).
