Although this gene has been referrednto as RPL10, its official symbol is RPL15. This gene has been shownnto be overexpressed in some esophageal tumors compared to normalnmatched tissues. Transcript variants utilizing alternative polyAnsignals exist. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins,nthere are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersednthrough the genome.
