This gene encodes a member of the DP family ofntranscription factors. These factors heterodimerize with E2Fnproteins to enhance their DNA-binding activity and promotentranscription from E2F target genes. This protein functions as annegative regulator and inhibits the DNA binding and transcriptionalnactivities of E2F factors.
