This gene is a member of the frizzled gene family. Membersnof this family encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that arenreceptors for the Wingless type MMTV integration site family ofnsignaling proteins. Most frizzled receptors are coupled to thenbeta-catenin canonical signaling pathway. The function of thisnprotein is unknown, although it may play a role in mammalian hairnfollicle development.
