The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thenETS-domain transcription factor family and the ternary complexnfactor (TCF) subfamily. Proteins in this subfamily regulatentranscription when recruited by serum response factor to bind tonserum response elements. This protein is activated bynsignal-induced phosphorylation; studies in rodents suggest that itnis a transcriptional inhibitor in the absence of Ras, but activatesntranscription when Ras is present.
