This gene encodes a member of the Kruppel family ofnC2H2-type zinc-finger transcription factor proteins. The encodednprotein acts as a transcriptional activator. Two transcriptnvariants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for thisngene. Other transcript variants have been described, but their fullnlength sequence has not been determined.
