This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor whichninteracts with the C-terminal tail of cannabinoid receptor 1. Thisnreceptor plays a role in synaptic plasticity, analgesia, appetite,nand neuroprotection. Two transcript variants encoding differentnisoforms have been described for this gene.
