PAP1 is a putative MYB domain containing transcription factor involved in anthocyanin metabolism and radical scavenging. It is essential for the sucrose-mediated expression of the dihydroflavonol reductase gene. It interacts with JAZ proteins to regulate anthocyanin accumulation.
