DAO1 is an IAA oxidase expressed in many different plant parts. It is a member of a family of dioxygenase and 2OG Fe(II) oxygenase domain and DAO domain containing proteins. It appears to be the major IAA oxidase in planta and major contributor to IAA degradation.
