In plants, Aconitase catalyses the reversible isomerisation of citrate to isocitrate in mitochondria and the cytosol as parts of the TCA cycle and glyoxylate cycle, respectively. There are three proteins in Arabidopsis ACO1 (At4g35830) , ACO2 (At4g26970) and ACO3 (At2g05710) .
