Thylakoid formation 1 (AT2G20890) is involved in vesicle-mediated formation of thylakoid membranes. Expression of Thf1was induced in the light and decreased under dark conditions. It has been shown that Thf1 is probably involved in the metabolic pathway that controls the assembly of the PS II complex.
