Stability: Lyophilized rPRL although stable at room temperature for several weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution at > 0.1 oPRL mg/ml and up to 4 mg/ml mM and filter sterilization oPRL can be stored at 4°C for several weeks. Solubility: Dissolve ~0.5 to 1.0 (up to 3)mg in one ml DDW adjusted to pH 8-9, mix gently, NEVER Vortex. Determine absorbance at 280nm, calculate the concentration assuming 1 mg/ml gives A=0.200, (human A=0.87). For pufferfish leptin see datasheet. Using <0.1 mg/ml for in vitro but no in vivo studies mix with carrier protein (BSA or HSA 0.1%) saline or PBS and filter sterilize. Store STERILE at +4°C for up to 4 weeks.
