Carboxymethyl Lysine (CML) is an advanced glycation end product formed on protein by combined nonenzymatic glycation and oxidation (glycoxidation) reactions during oxidative stress. It increase with aging and during diabetes, cancer, vascular disease, and other pathologies marked by oxidative stress.
