8-oxoguanine DNA glycosylase (OGG1) is a DNA repair enzyme that is involved in base excision repair and incises DNA at 8-oxoG residues. OGG1 is a bifunctional glycosylase, as it is able to both cleave the glycosidic bond of the mutagenic lesion and cause a strand break in the DNA backbone. BioVision’s OGG1 ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of OGG1 in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of OGG1 captured from the samples.
