Interleukin-17 (IL-17) is s a pro-inflammatory cytokine. When binding to the receptor, IL-17 activates several signaling cascades that, in turn, lead to the induction of chemokines which induce stromal cells to produce proinflammatory and hematopoietic cytokine.
