Hydroxyproline is produced by hydroxylation of the amino acid proline by the enzyme prolyl hydroxylase following protein synthesis. It is a major component of the protein collagen, comprising roughly 13.5% of mammalian collagen. Hydroxyproline and proline play key roles for collagen stability. Hydroxylation of proline has also been shown to be involved in targeting HIF-1 alpha for degradation by proteolysis. BioVision’s hydroxyproline ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of hydroxyproline in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of hydroxyproline captured from the samples.
产品特点
Easy, convenient and time-saving method to measure the level of hydroxyproline in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, culture supernatants and other biological fluids.
Detection Range: 7.81 - 500 ng/ml
Sensitivity: < 4.68 ng/ml
Assay Precision: Intra-Assay: CV < 8%; Inter-Assay: CV < 10%
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of hydroxyproline. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between hydroxyproline and analogues was observed.
