- EPOC growth medium was designed and tested for human endothelium progenitor Outgrowth cells (EPOC). This medium includes two components: EPOC basal medium (E3010-68G1) and EPOC growth medium supplement (E3010-68G2). The EPC growth medium supplement includes fetal bovine serum and human recombinant growth factors, and some lot-to- lot variability is unavoidable.Each lot of this product is tested in cell culture to ensure its sterility. This product does not contain antibiotics.Kit Components:E3010-68G1: Endothelial Progenitor Outgrowth Cells, Human, Basal MediumE3010-68G2: Endothelial Progenitor Outgrowth Cells, Human, Growth Medium SupplementUse of EPOC Growth Medium for Culturing EPOC:1. Thaw the E3010-68G2 and add the entire volume (25ml) to the E3010-68G1 (500ml). Antibiotics may also be added if contamination is a concern.2. Take the amount of EPOC growth medium needed and warm to 37°C in a water bath or incubator. Avoid frequent temperature change to the entire bottle of medium. The EPOC growth medium is stable for 1 month stored at 4°C.3. Refer to manual for EPOC culture procedures using the EPOC growth medium. We recommend changing medium every 2 days for regular cell culture..Storage and Stability: The EPOC basal medium is stored at 4°C. A change in color or appearance of precipitate may indicate deterioration. The EPOC growth medium supplement is stored at -20°C. If taking aliquots from the original bottle is necessary, dispense the contents and re-freeze in small aliquots to avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles. EPOC basal medium: Stable for 6 months from the date of receipt under proper storage condition. EPOC growth medium supplement: Stable for 6 months from the date of receipt under proper storage condition.
