Human interleukin family 1，member 6 （hIL-1F6 / FIL1-epsilon） belongs to the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1F6 is expressed in the immune system and the fetal brain，but not in other tissues tested or in multiple hematopoietic cell lines. IL1F6 is the only IL-1 family member found to be expressed on T-cells. IL1F6 functions via receptor complex of IL-1Rrp2 and IL-1RAcP. The recombinant IL1F6，along with IL1F8 and IL1F9，acts as an agonist by activating the pathway involving NF?B and MAPK in an IL-1Rrp2 dependent manner.
