- The Connexin gene family encodes the protein subunits of gap junction channels. The gap junction channels permit ions, nucleotides, and small molecules up to 1200 daltons to pass between cells. AntibodiesC7853-02A-F recognize mouse and rat connexin.Applications:C7853-02A, B, D, E, F are suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.C7853-02C is suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.1-1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 1-5ug/mlImmunoprecipitation: 1-5ugWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/mlControls:C7853-02G:15ul per lane for C7853-02A and C7853-02D on Nitrocellulose membrane.C7853-02G: 5ul per lane for C7853-02A and C7853-02D on PVDF membrane.C7853-02H:20ul per lane for C7853-02COptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing of antibodies, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquot controls and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
