Cy5 Azide NHS Ester is a fluorescent probe with terminal NHS ester and azide groups. The Cy5 fluorescent molecule is water-soluble, pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10, far-red-fluorescent probe that is excitated at 633 nm and 647 nm. The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage and as an azide-copper complex, the reaction works well under diluted conditions. The NHS ester can be used to label the primary amines (-NH2) of proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
