PLGA(5k)-PEG(3k)-ALK is an azide reactive (in the presence of Cu catalyst) block copolymer which is biodegradable and amphiphilic. Upon dispersion in water, the self-assemble polymer forms micelles where the poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) being shielded from water as core and the PEG block facing the water as shell. The core regions can serve as reservoirs for hydrophobic drugs. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
