PLGA(3k)-PEG(5k)-ALK is a biocompatible and amphiphilic block copolymer which is reactive with azide molecule in the presence of copper catalyst to form a triazole bond. The polymer can form micelles in water where the poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) (at the core) is shielded by the PEG (shell). The biodegradable polymer can be used to encapsulate drugs in nanomedicine or drug delivery system. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
