Alkyne maleimide is a bifunctional linker reagent which allows the attachment of terminal alkyne to various thiol-containing molecules, such as proteins containing cysteine residues. The alkyne moiety can be then conjugated with various azides via copper-catalyzed Click chemistry reaction.
