Ramosetron (YM060) is a synthetic, potent and selective antagonist of the 5-HT3A channel. Ramosetron has an effective concentration of 0.1 nM - 0.1μM and an IC50 of 3.85 nM in rabbit nodose ganglion cells2. Ramosetron is a useful post-operative anti-emetic drug, found to have a greater efficacy in the prevention of early post-operative nausea (up to 24 hours) than similar anti-emetics such as Ondansetron. Ramosetron also shows higher safety with fewer side effects when administered to such patients
