Anti-MUC5AC Antibody detects for mucin 5AC (MUC5AC)，a secretory-type mucin found in columnar mucous cells of surface gastric epithelium，in goblet cells of the fetal，and in precancerous colon，but is not found in normal colon cells. Therefore is a unique marker to detect colorectal carcinomas in which overexpression have been associated with carcinogenesis，malignant potential，and progression.
