Runt-related transcription factor 3 (Runx3) forms a heterodimer of alpha and beta subunit and binds to the core of the promoternto regulate the transcription. It plays an important role in tumor suppressor and the gene is frequently deleted or transcriptionallynsilenced during tumor development. It has multiple isoforms coded by multiple transcript variances.
