Nerve growth factor-β (NGF-β) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human NGF-β is a homodimer, non-glycosylated chain containing two identical 120 amino acid subunits, and having a molecular weight of 13.4 kDa.
