Hemopexin （HPX） is a plasma protein that has the highest binding affinity for heme. HPX prevents heme-mediated oxidative stress and heme-bound iron loss by transporting heme to the liver for breakdown.

Western blotting （0.5-4 ug/ml）. However， the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~68 kDa of Hemopexin in samples from human， mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
