Calbindin-D-28K （also known as vitamin D-dependant calcium binding protein） belongs to a family of low molecular weight calcium-binding proteins （CaBPs）. Calbindin-D-28K is found mostly in subpopulations of central and peripheral nervous system nuerons and also in certain epithelial cells involved in Ca2+ transport.

Western blotting （0.5-4 ug/ml）. However， the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~28 kDa Calbindin- D-28K of human， mouse， rat， and monkey origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
