Brainderived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a member of the NGF family of neurotrophic factors (also named neurotrophins) that are required for the differentiation and survival of specific neuronal subpopulations in both the central as well as the peripheral nervous system. Sample Type:Serum and plasmaIntended Use:The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of BDNF in human serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested.Sensitivity:1p/mlRange:93.8-6000p/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human BDNF.Precision:Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15%Test Principle:This assay employs the fast quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for BDNF has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards, samples and human BDNF mix are pipetted into the wells and any BDNF present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of BDNF bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.Kit Components:Assay plate (12x8 coated Microwells)-1Standard-2x10uLHuman BDNF Mix-4x 9uLAssay diluent (5x concentrate)-1 x15mLWash buffer (20x concentrate)-1x25 mLTMB substrate-1x12mLStop solution-1x8mLAdhensive strip-2Instruction manual-1Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C.
