DR5 is the DD containing receptor for TRAIL，Apo2，TRAIL-R2，TRICK2，or KILLER. DR5 transcript is widely expressed in normal tissues and in many types of tumor cells. Like DR3 and TNFR1，DR5 mediate apoptosis by FADD dependent pathway. Over-expression of DR5 induces apoptosis and activates NFkB.
