- Arginase (L-arginine ureohydrolase EC 3.5.3.1) is present in mammals and plants. In humans, arginase is expressed predominantly in the liver, and to lesser degrees in breast, kidney, testes, salivary glands, epidermis and erythrocytes. Arginase catalyzes the conversion of arginine to ornithine and urea, completing the last step in the urea cycle. Arginase activity is a key diagnostic indicator. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the arginase activity in the sample.Kit Components:Arginine Buffer (pH 9.5), 1x2ml Mn Solution, 1x1mlReagent A, 1x25ml Reagent B, 1x25mlUrea standard, 50mg/dL, 1x1mlStorage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
