- Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cells because they generate most of the supply of energy in the form of adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP). Mitochondria are double membrane organelles: an outer membrane and a folded inner membrane called cristae.Sample Type:Mammalian tissues and cultured cells.Intended Use:Useful for mitochondrial respiration studies, assembly of the complexes, apoptosis, mtDNA and mtRNA, and protein profiling. Western blot and ELISA.Specificity:Species Crossreactivity: mammalian Test Principle:The kit offers two options for the isolation of intact mitochondria. The first option is utilizing a reagent-based method allowing parallel processing of multiple samples. The second option uses traditional dounce homogenization, which provides better mitochondrial yield.Kit Components:Mitochondria Isolation Buffer, 2x100ml
Reagent A, 1x1ml
Storage Buffer, 1x25mlStorage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
