- Beta-catenin (cadherin-associated protein beta, 88kD) is a dual function protein, regulating the coordination of cell–cell adhesion and gene transcription via the Wnt signaling pathway. Mutations and overexpression of beta-catenin are associated with many cancers, including hepatocellular, colorectal, lung, breast, ovarian and endometrial cancers. Sample Type:Serum and plasma (EDTA/Citrate), urine and other biological fluids. Cell culture medium, tissue homogenates and cell lysates.Intended Use:For quantitative detection of beta-catenin, establishing normal range.Range:5-240ng/LSpecificity:Recognizes rat beta-catenin. This ELISA kit shows no species cross-reactivity.Test Principle:This rat beta-catenin BioAssay ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Rat beta-catenin antibody is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and beta-catenin present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. An HRP-conjugate reagent is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound antibody/HRP conjugates, HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the rat beta-catenin captured onto the plate. Kit Components:Microplate coated with anti-rat beta-catenin antibody, 1x96 wells, 2x adhesive strips

Wash Solution (30x stock), 1x20ml Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
