- A highly selective antagonist for the beta-2 adrenergic receptors. Binds to the beta-2 subtype with at least 100 times greater affinity than beta-1 or beta-3, the two other known subtypes of the beta adrenoceptor. (Ki values are 1.2, 120 and 257nM for beta-2, beta-1 and beta-3 receptors respectively).Formula:C17H27NO2 • HClSolubility:DMSOPrimary Target:→2 adrenergic receptorsPrimary Target Ki:1.2, 120 and 257nM for →2, →1 and →3 receptors respectively.Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
