- This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein phosphatase with EF-hand motif family. The protein contains a protein phosphatase catalytic domain, and at least two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs in its C-terminus. Although its substrate(s) is unknown, the encoded protein has been suggested to play a role in specific sensory neuron function and/or development. This gene shares high sequence similarity with the Drosophila retinal degeneration C (rdgC) gene. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants, each encoding a distinct isoform, have been described.Intended Use:This BioAssay™ IP-WB antibody pair set comes with one antibody for immunoprecipitation and another to detect the precipitated protein in western blot.Specificity:Recognizes human. Kit Components:1. Antibody pair for IP: rabbit polyclonal anti-PPEF1 (300ul)
2. Antibody pair for WB: mouse purified polyclonal anti-PPEF1 (50ug)Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
