Alcohol Dehydrogenase is an enzyme that specifically metabolizes ethanol and their activity or inactivity determines how quickly ethanol is eliminated from the body. Most densely populated in the liver, Alcohol Dehydrogenase can also be found throughout the bodies other tissues. Levels of alcohol dehydrogenase among different populations and their subsequent allele variants have a large impact on the ability to metabolize alcohol and therefore, alcoholism can be seen as having a genetic predisposition as well as environmental. Anti-Alcohol Dehydrogenase (Yeast) Antibody is ideal for investigators in Developmental Biology, Cancer, and Neuroscience.

Store vial at -20° C or below prior to opening. This vial contains a relatively low volume of reagent (25 µL). To minimize loss of volume dilute 1:10 by adding 225 µL of the buffer stated above directly to the vial. Recap, mix thoroughly and briefly centrifuge to collect the volume at the bottom of the vial. Use this intermediate dilution when calculating final dilutions as recommended below. Store the vial at -20°C or below after dilution. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
