- Transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 5, also known as TRPC5, is a subtype of the TRPC family of mammalian transient receptor potential ion channels. Homomultimeric TRPC5 and heteromultimeric TRPC5-TRPC1 channels are activated by extracellular reduced thioredoxin. This activation probably plays a role in rheumatoid arthritis. It has also been recently found to be involved in the action on anaesthetics such as choloform, halothane and propofol.

- Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
